After the birth of her second child, the founder of Gus + BeauI found herself looking for ways to create safe playing areas for him in her living spaces at home. She struggled to find beautiful playmats which would blend in with her interiors. As she watched her son grow, toddle and play, she spotted a gap in the market; a premium playmat that was not only functional and safe, but complemented her home’s style and aesthetic.
She decided to design and manufacture her own, knowing that parents wanted simple designs in muted tones and clean patterns when it came to playtime for their babies.
